PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy and appropriate management of printing color on an upstream step in a plate-making printing system equipped with a plurality of printing machines. SOLUTION: On the basis of a same color chart data, a color chart is printed with a plurality of printing machines A, B, C. The printed color chart 401 is photo-metered with a color measuring device 110 to obtain a plurality of measured color data corresponding to the printing machines A, B, C. A profile preparing device 100a uses the measured color data to prepare a profile. That is, an average measured color data Davg is prepared through an averaging process with regard to the measured data DA, DB, DC, and then, the measured color data DA, DB, DC are displayed together with the average measured color data Davg for a worker to see these data to determine whether or not reprinting the color chart is necessary. When reprinting is decided to be necessary, a commonized profile 405 displaying the color reproducibility of the printing machines A, B, C is prepared based on the average measured color data Davg.
