PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release film, which is reduced in thickness irregularity to the utmost and has a flat release surface, used for molding a green sheet, especially a thin green sheet with a thickness of 3μm or below used at the time of production of a ceramic laminated condenser. SOLUTION: The release film for molding the green sheet is obtained by providing a release layer on one side of a simultaneously biaxially stretched polyester film. The thickness irregularity of this film is 5% or below in both of the longitudinal and lateral directions of the film. This film simultaneously satisfies the formula (1):P-V(Si)≤700 [wherein P-V(Si) is the maximum roughness (nm) of the release surface of the release film] and the formula (2):P-V≥400 [wherein P-V is the maximum roughness (nm) on the surface provided with no release layer of the release film].
