摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple arm type robot that has high rigidity, is stable, small-sized and light-weight, and has fast arm movement. SOLUTION: The arm type robot has a vertical pair of first lifting body 20 and second lifting body 30 disposed independently vertically movably on a pair of struts 11, a parallel link mechanism 40 having a lateral pair of parallel link arm units 41a and 41b extending forward from the first lifting body 20, and a driving arm 50 for rotating and oscillating the parallel link arm units 41a and 41b laterally to the second lifting body 30. An automatic work unit 48 is attached to a head section 42 supported at the tips of the parallel link arm units 41a and 41b. A first driving means 60 and a second driving means 70 installed in both sides of struts 11 simultaneously or independently lift the corresponding lifting bodies 20 and 30, a third driving means 80 rotates and oscillates the driving arm 50 horizontally, and the head section 42 is horizontally moved longitudinally and laterally in a vertical attitude.
