PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of arc welding in which information well correlative to arc length is inputted and the position of a welding torch is controlled to a prescribed position on the basis of the correlative information, and to provide an arc welding device. SOLUTION: As shown in Figure (b), the positional control is commenced after constant timeΔt passes since commencing the supply of a peak current. This can normalize the control information.
