METHOD FOR DETECTING COILING SLACK OF HOT ROLLED COIL AND METHOD FOR COILING HOT ROLLED STEEL STRIP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a coiling slack of a hot rolled coil capable of rapidly discovering the occurrence of the coiling slack in the hot rolled coil and coping therewith and a method for coiling a hot rolled steel strip. SOLUTION: The method for detecting the coiling slack of the hot rolled coil is a method for detecting the coiling slack of the hot rolled coil taken up on a mandrel and comprises measuring the temperature distribution in the radial direction of the end surface of the hot rolled coil after the end of the coiling and detecting the coiling slack of the hot rolled coil based on the temperature distribution.
