PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application method and an application apparatus capable of efficiently drawing images by a simple control system. SOLUTION: The application method of a coating material is for drawing prescribed patterns with the coating material on an object to be coated 10 by spraying the coating material to the object to be coated 10 from a nozzle of application means. A plurality of the application means 107 to 109 are installed and the object to be coated 10 is moved so as to make the relative movement modes of a plurality of the application means to the object to be coated same as one another and the coating quantities of a plurality of the application means are controlled independently.
