PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wheelchair equipped with a structure for mounting a battery which is not affected by modifications of standards of a frame. SOLUTION: The electric wheelchair is equipped with the body frame 1 with a seat 14 and a backrest 10e, driving wheels 3, a driving device, and a power supply battery, and has a pocket part 70 for housing the power supply battery detachably on the back side of the backrest 10e in a manner to cover the power supply battery. Since the pocket part 70 is placed on the frame 1 through the backrest part 10e, the shape of the pocket part 70 is decided regardless of the standards of the frame 1. Consequently, if the frame 1 with a different length in the direction of the axle is requested, the structure for mounting the battery which is not affected by the modifications of the standards of the frame 1 is provided by housing the power supply battery through the pocket part 70.
