PURPOSE: A charge pump circuit having large output current capacity used for a power supply circuit and the like is provided to prevent adverse effects on other circuits in a system by reducing an inrush current at a beginning of operations of a charge pump circuit. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of charge transfer transistors(M1-M4) are connected serially. An input power source is used for supplying an input voltage to the charge transfer transistor of an initial terminal. Each of capacitors(C1-C3) has one end connected to a corresponding connecting point of the charge transfer transistors. A first clock driver is used for supplying clock pulses to the other end of the capacitor. A second clock driver is used for supplying clock pulses to the other end of the capacitor and having higher driving capacity than the first clock driver. A clock driver control circuit(30) executes control commands for operating the first and the second clock drivers.
