<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve charging and discharging cycle characteristic in a lithium secondary battery provided with a negative electrode substance of a thin film consisting of material alloyed with lithium and deposited on a collector. <P>SOLUTION: In the lithium secondary battery, a positive electrode 1 containing positive electrode active substance 1a, a negative electrode 3 containing negative electrode active substance 3a, and non-aqueous electrolyte are provided. Negative electrode active substance consisting of material alloyed with lithium is provided in a thin film state formed deposited on the collector 3b, the thin film is separated into columnar state by slits formed in the thickness direction, and a bottom of the column is adhered to the collector 3b. Charging is carried out until the lithium contained quantity in the negative electrode is 0.90 times and more than the negative electrode capacity, at least in the initial charging. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
