PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch whose driving voltage can effectively be lowered as an optical switch to which a MEMS is applied. SOLUTION: The optical switch is equipped with a fiber array 22 having a plurality of optical fibers and a mirror array 30 which has a plurality of mirrors having variable deflection angles, each mirror deflecting light outputted from each optical fiber of the fiber array. Then the optical switch is characterized in that angles of incidence on the respective mirrors from the respective fibers are different. In this constitution, the angles of incidence on the respective mirrors from the respective optical fibers are made different, so the variation range of the deflection angles of the respective mirrors can be made narrow and the driving voltage can effectively be lowered.
