PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a clearance in a stroke of a rod for operation of a button part of a push-button switch taking the irregularity in a size of a door and a box body into consideration in an open/close detector for the door of a refrigerator or the like. SOLUTION: The open/close detector for the door comprises a push-button switch 12, a rod 14 free to move slidingly from a projecting state to a pushed-in state by closing the door, and a spring 16 for urging the rod in its projecting direction, which are arranged in a case 18. The rod 14 is provided with a connecting part 26 for pushing a button part 32 of the push-button switch 12. The push-button switch 12 is disposed in front of the connecting part 26 with the button part 32 facing rearward. Thus, the button part 32 is pushed by the connecting part 26 in the projecting state of the rod 14, and the pressure on the button part 32 by the connecting part 26 is released in the pushed-in state of the button part 32.
