PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for a rotating electric machine that can secure electrical insulation between an electric conductor and a stator core. SOLUTION: The stator 3 for an AC generator for vehicle as the rotating electric machine is provided with the stator core 32 in which a plurality of slots 35 are arranged side by side in the circumferential direction; segment conductors 33, a partial portion of which is accommodated inside the slots 35, and the remaining portion of which is bent in the circumferential direction protrusively in the axial direction from the end surface of the stator core 32; and insulators 34 arranged between the inside wall surface of the slots 35 and the outside circumferential surface of the segment conductors 33, and have overlapped portions at least at two positions when once circumventing the outside circumferential surface of the segments conductors 33 along the inside circumferential surface of the slots 35.
