PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas reducing system of an internal combustion engine for restraining a wind noise by throttling exhaust gas, and reducing the exhaust gas to a necessary minimum regardless of a vehicle speed. SOLUTION: This exhaust gas reducing system has an exhaust gas throttling means for changing throttling opening of an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine, an exhaust gas flow control means for controlling an exhaust gas flow of the exhaust passage via the exhaust gas throttling means, and a vehicle state detecting means for detecting a traveling state of a vehicle mounted with the internal combustion engine, and is constituted so that the exhaust gas flow control means restrains the throttling opening of the exhaust gas throttling means to wind noise checking opening (S203) when the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle state detecting means corresponds to a feeling deteriorating low speed for recognizing the wind noise in the exhaust passage generated by the exhaust gas throttling means (S202).
