PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining wall with a side ditch, which can be manufactured at a low cost and has a high strength, the installation works of which are simplified, which has an excellent stability and is not changed by the impulses or the like of a car, to which a fence can be installed and which has even a superior safety. SOLUTION: The retaining wall with the side ditch is composed of the L-shaped retaining wall 10 and a side-ditch block 20 in which an upper end section can be placed and fixed at the top end of the retaining wall 10. The top end 11 of the retaining wall 10 is notched so that both end sections 111 are positioned at sections lower than a central section 112, the cross section of the block 20 is formed in an approximately U shape and a lower plate section 23 can be brought into contact with the retaining wall 10 when the front end of an upper plate section 21 is placed at the top end 11 of the retaining wall 10. The upper plate section 21 has an opening section 24, the retaining wall 10 and the block 20 are connected by a bolt 14 and fence holes 13 are formed to the retaining wall 10 and the block 20.
