A chemical volatizing device, wherein a chemical is impregnated in a plate-like body having permeable voids therein and a rotatingly driving device (4) is installed for a rotating body (2) formed of a single or a plurality of the plate-like bodies for rotating the rotating body (2). The typical specific configurations of the plate-like body having the voids therein comprise a preferred embodiment in which a plurality of vent holes are formed, a preferred embodiment in which a permeable sheet or fabric is stretched in the supported state on a support body, and a preferred embodiment in which a two-dimensional or three-dimensional mesh state is formed. By these configurations, efficient volatilization can be sustained over a long period.
