PURPOSE: A system and a method for activating a remote monitor unit by using a destination request signal are provided to effectively receive and manage monitor information with respect to a plurality of remote monitor units. CONSTITUTION: A communication terminal unit(230) is connected with a telephone network(30) including an Internet network(20) and an Internet network coupling unit(40) interworking with the Internet network(20). A terminal monitor unit(220) senses receiving of a destination request signal from the communication terminal unit(230) and requests the Internet network coupling unit(40) to connect the communication terminal unit(230) to the Internet network(20). A remote monitor unit(200) includes a monitor controller(210) for transferring collected monitor information to the communication terminal unit(230) to transmit it through the Internet network(20), when receiving of the destination request signal is reported from the terminal monitor unit(220). A telephone network connector(340) sets up a call for the communication terminal unit(230) through the telephone network(30) in order to generate the destination request signal. A call connection controller(330) instructs the telephone network connector(340) to set up a call for the communication terminal unit(230). A remote monitor managing unit(300) includes a Web server(310) for transferring a phone number of the communication terminal unit(230) to the call connection controller(330) to request call setup and collecting the monitor information from the Internet network(20).
