<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a kind of an identification means and opportunities to as many people as possible without using credit cards regarding an identification method, system and program using portable equipment. <P>SOLUTION: An identification device accessible from the portable equipment through a network and a registration terminal capable of accessing the identification device through the network are provided. The identification device is accessed from the registration terminal, and the image of an individual confirmed as a user himself/herself and relating data including an identification number are transmitted and registered in the database of the identification device. When the presentation of an identification card is requested, the identification device is accessed from the portable equipment through the network and the input of a name and the identification number, etc., is checked.
