PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a power transmission mechanism for correctly detecting slip limit pressure of belt nipping pressure without causing excessive slip. SOLUTION: The control device for a power transmission mechanism detects the slip in a case that one of at least two controllable physical quantities is changed. The control device comprises: a condition satisfaction determining means (step S1) for determining whether or not a predetermined condition is satisfied; and a selecting means for selecting the physical quantity to be changed, based on the content of the condition that is determined to be satisfied.
