<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge an operating area capable of realizing effective pre-mixture combustion for reducing NOx and PM in a cylinder injection compression ignition engine. <P>SOLUTION: This engine comprises a variable mechanism of a compression ratio, a means for detecting an ignition timing of fuel, and a means for controlling the ignition timing and the variable mechanism of the compression ratio near a top dead center of a compression stroke based on detection signals (S2-S6 and S8-S11). The engine also comprises a means for detecting a number of revolution N of an engine and a load W, and means for controlling the variable mechanism of the compression ratio for normal combustion in a high rotation region or a high load region based on the detection signals (S1, S7, S8-S11). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
