摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately detect the location of a vehicle stop lane. SOLUTION: An image processing part 28 detects a stop lane by executing image recognition in crosswise direction and lengthwise direction based on road width data or stop lane width data or the like preliminarily stored in a map data storing part 13 to the image of a road surface ahead of its own vehicle in the traveling direction outputted by an imaging apparatus 14 and the neighborhood of the road. An image processing part 28 calculates a distance between its own vehicle and the stop lane based on an angle made by two straight lines connecting the imaging apparatus 14 and the right and left edges of the stop lane and the length in the crosswise direction of the stop lane. An announcing device 15 announces the information of an object which may be an obstacle to the traveling of its own vehicle to the crew of its own vehicle according to the distance between its own vehicle and the stop lane detected by the image processing part 28.
