PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of measuring the metal content in an acid solution accurately in a short time without diluting the acid solution even in the case of a high metal concentration, and capable of inline measurement. SOLUTION: This measuring device S of the metal content in the acid solution is constituted of a spectral part 1, a sampling part 2 and a data processing part 3. In the measuring device S, a flow cell 12 having the acid solution introduced inside is irradiated with ultraviolet rays having the wavelength of 190-350 nm, and the ultraviolet rays transmitted through the flow cell 12 are allowed to enter a light receiving element 11, and each absorption quantity of the ultraviolet rays having the plurality of wavelengths is operated based on signals corresponding to transmitted light quantities of the ultraviolet rays outputted from the light receiving element 11. Then, the content of the prescribed metal in the acid solution is computed based on the operated absorbance of the ultraviolet ray having each wavelength and a calculation result of an offset portion of the metal content calibrated by a calibration formula and a reference liquid.
