PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a hot air heater with a removable louver, preventing a user from touching a high temperature part of the interior of the body to get burned in the case of detaching the louver for cleaning immediately after extinguish or during combustion without attention to the instruction manual. SOLUTION: This hot air heater includes: a body 1 of a hot air heater; a burner 2 mounted in the body 1; a hot air blowoff port 4 provided in the outer surface of the body; a removable louver 6 mounted in the hot air blowoff opening 4; a locking means 13 inhibiting the louver 6 from being detached; an internal temperature detection means 14 for detecting the internal temperature of a device; and a control means 16 for controlling so that when the internal temperature detected by the internal temperature detection means 14 is a predetermined temperature (e.g. 50°C) or higher, the locking means 13 is locked not to detach the louver from the hot air blowoff opening 4.
