FREEZE DETECTION METHOD OF ICE MAKER AND ICE MAKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and accurately detect freezing in the case freeze occurs in a heat exchanger used when making supercooled water in a sealing system. SOLUTION: A bypass pipe 31 is provided between a water pipe 4 positioned at an upper stream side of an inlet of the heat exchanger 2 for making water to be a supercooled state and a connecting pipe 14 for connecting an outlet of the heat exchanger 2 and an inlet of a supercool canceling vessel 15. By checking increasing/decreasing trend of respective flow rates per predetermined time which are measured by a first measuring device 32 for measuring flow rate of water for flowing in the bypass pipe 31 and a second measuring device 33 for measuring flow rate of water for flowing in the water pipe 4, freeze of the heat exchanger 2 can be detected.
