PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal rotary compressor, in which amount of oil discharged to the outside can be reduced. SOLUTION: A refrigerant compressed by a 1st rotary compression component 32 is discharged in a closed vessel 12, and the refrigerant in the vessel 12 is sucked in a 2nd rotary compression component 34 and compressed. An oil separation mechanism 110 as an oil separation means for centrifugally separating the oil in the refrigerant is provided above a cover 66 for demarcating a discharge-silencing chamber 62 of the compression component 34.
