PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain labels not limited by a label region shape even when a label tape is used, and to effectively utilize the label tape. SOLUTION: The tape printing device is configured to input a half cutting & block feeding code by designating a half cutting position at an arbitrary position of a character string at the time of inputting the character string as printing data. In the tape printing device, the half cutting position based on the inputted half cutting & block feeding code is stored, and moreover half cutting is carried out to a rear end part of the character string printed based on the stored half cutting position within a range of a label region 12 of the label tape 11 at the time of executing printing.
