PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated abrasives which have high polishing efficiency and are easily and efficiently manufactured with a simple manufacturing apparatus, and also to provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The coated abrasives 1 are composed of a backing 2 formed to be a network with short fiber spun yarn, and abrasive grains 3 adhered to both surfaces 2A, 2B of the backing 2 via adhesive 4. The coated abrasives 1 are manufactured as follows. The adhesive 4 is spread on one surface 2A of the backing 2, and then the abrasive grains 3 are scattered on the one surface 2A. The abrasive grains 3 are adhered to the one surface 2A by drying the adhesive 4. After that, the adhesive 4 is spread on the other surface 2B of the backing 2, and then the abrasive grains 3 are scattered on the other surface 2B.
