PURPOSE: A zinc ingot preheating apparatus is provided to prevent defects from forming on the surface of product according to low speed operation by promptly injecting solid ingot into the pot of the hot dip galvanizing process during operation, thereby always constantly maintaining zinc level and temperature of galvanizing pot. CONSTITUTION: The zinc ingot preheating apparatus comprises a moving means comprising first chain conveyor(201), first roller conveyor(202), second roller conveyor(203), second chain conveyor(204) and third roller conveyor(205) to move an ingot to the heating means and guide movement of the ingot so that heating completed ingot is injected into a galvanizing pot; a heating means comprising a circular shaped case(301) on which a plural resting holes(302) are formed, a cover(304) opened and closed by a switch cylinder(303) to selectively cut off the front surface of the resting holes, an induction heater(309) installed in the case to heat the ingots inserted into the resting holes, a central shaft(305) to which the case is rotationally supported by bearing(306), and a pair of rotary rolls(307) contacted with the bottom of the case and rotated by driving motor(308), wherein the heating means heats the ingots to a certain temperature so that temperature of the ingots moved by the moving means corresponds to an internal temperature of the galvanizing pot; and a discharge means(400) comprising a discharge cylinder(401) installed in rear of the case by means of support(404), a discharge plate(403) installed at an end part of rod(402) of the discharge cylinder to move the ingot in the state that the discharge plate is contacted with the ingot, and a guide member(405) for guiding movement of the discharge plate, wherein the discharge means discharges the ingot from the heating means so that the ingot is guided by the moving means.
