<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input system by a pen type input device usable in a natural feeling without being aware of a relative mode and an absolute mode with a compact size. <P>SOLUTION: This data input system 1 comprises the pen type input device 10 having a pressable pen tip, a position measurement part 41 for measuring the position of the pen type input device 10, a pen tip state detection part 42 for detecting the pressing state of the pen tip, a display device 21 and a cursor display part 61 for displaying a cursor on a display screen based on the position of the input device 10 and moving the cursor according to the movement of the input device 10. This system further comprises a trace creation part 62 for creating, when the device 10 is moved with the pen tip being in a first pressing state, the trace data of the movement, and changing the display state of the trace of the movement of the cursor on the display screen to a state identifiable from the other part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
