OPTICAL DISK DRIVE AND TRAY FOR OPTICAL DISK DRIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive of which the whole thickness can be made smaller by preventing a phenomenon in which a compact disk is caught by a boss of a turntable even if only a small lowering of the turntable exists. SOLUTION: A tray 300 provided at a main frame in freely retractable and ejectable states and carrying a disk has: a contour plane 310; a first safely setting plane 321 formed lower than the contour plane so that a disk having a comparatively large diameter can be set safely; and a second safely setting plane 322 formed lower than the contour plane and further than the first safely setting plane so that a disk having a smaller diameter can be set safely. The second safely setting plane is tilted by an angleθ, and has a slant which becomes gradually shallow in the direction of entering to the main frame.
