PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of maintaining a sealing effect for a long time by suppressing the deterioration of a sealing member for an image forming apparatus equipped with a flash-fixation system fixing device, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. SOLUTION: Two flash lamps 21 are arranged in the housing 20a of the fixing device, and a protection glass (transparent) 24 is arranged on the front surface facing a carrying device 15 of the housing 20a, and the sealing member 25 is sandwiched all over the circumference between the housing 20a and the protection glass 24, besides, a sealing member 25a is also fitted in an installation space between the housing 20a and the carrying device 15.
