EXHAUST MANIFOLD WITH CATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust manifold with a catalyst for holding full opening performance while realizing exhaust emission control in essential engine cooling state starting in a single type catalyst. SOLUTION: In this exhaust manifold with the single type catalyst, an exhaust gas gathering part 15 has a partition part 20 having a downstream side end surface part 22 opposed to an upstream side end surface part 32 of a catalyst carrier by dividing an exhaust gas flow into an exhaust gas flow from a set of cylinders discontinuous in ignition order and an exhaust gas flow from the other set of cylinders, and a clearance part 17 formed between the downstream side end surface part and the upstream side end surface part. The clearance part is regulated so that the area partitioned by a longitudinal directional width of the downstream side end surface part and the upstream-downstream directional length formed between the downstream side end surface part and the upstream side end surface part becomes 5 % or more of the cross-sectional area of the catalyst carrier 31.
