<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve glossiness, ink absorbency and printing density without crack in an ink reception layer. <P>SOLUTION: An ink jet recording sheet includes the ink reception layer containing fine particles having a mean primary particle size of 50 nm or less on at least one surface of a water absorptive support and coating on at least one surface of the water absorptive support. The water absorptive support is a paper sheet having 10 to 30 g/m<SP>2</SP>of 30 second size modulus by a Cobb method specified by the JIS P8140. Alternatively, the water absorptive paper sheet is a pigment coating paper sheet having a pigment layer containing a binding agent made of at least a pigment, a water soluble adhesive and a latex adhesive and coating at least one surface of the paper sheet. The ink reception layer is provided by coating an ink reception layer coating liquid having a gel temperature of 40°C or higher and drying the ink reception layer coating liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
