<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic matter treating method for efficiently recovering a useful substance from organic matter such as organic waste. <P>SOLUTION: This organic matter treating method comprises an anaerobic decomposition step to decompose the organic matter by the action of an anaerobic microbe durable at high temperature in such a high-temperature anaerobic environment that the methanation ability of methan bacteria is suppressed and a gas recovering step to recover a gaseous decomposition product produced from the organic matter at the anaerobic decomposition step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
