<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sweetener having excellent disease-preventive effect; and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The sweetener in a liquid state comprises yeast fermentation material obtained by fermenting, via yeast, at least one kind selected from the group comprising vegetable, fruit, seaweed or grain, and sugar.
