<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system capable of carrying out multi-value wireless communication using a pilot symbol while suppressing reduction in a transmission data amount with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In the wireless communication system wherein a transmission section and a reception section carry out wireless communication by the multi-value modulation system such as the 16QAM, 64QAM and 16APSK, the pilot data symbol is formed wherein two points whose phases are inverted among a plurality of points periodically taking maximum amplitudes on an IP plane are used for reference signals with respect to one carrier, and the pilot data symbol is inserted in a data symbol sequence configured with only transmission data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
