PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flocculation precipitation apparatus utilizing a flocculant and a sedimentation accelerator, capable of constantly and optimally controlling the concentration of the sedimentation accelerator in response to conditions at various times. SOLUTION: The flocculation precipitation apparatus comprises a flocculation tank for flocculating suspended substances in a raw water by adding a flocculant and a sedimentation accelerator, a precipitation tank for precipitating flocculated substances from the flocculation tank so as to separate treating water from a precipitate, a pipe-line for drawing the precipitate out of the precipitation tank and treating the same so as to separate the sedimentation accelerator from a sludge and then returning the sedimentation accelerator thus separated to the flocculation tank.
