<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable protecting tube which is free from such problems as solvent crack and is excellent in waterproofing capability and moldability. <P>SOLUTION: The cable protecting tube is a spiral tube and is formed as follows: each segment of the tube has on one-side edge a fitting portion 1 which is bifurcated and has a pair of coming-off preventing portions formed on the inner edge of its open end. The segment has on the other-side edge an anchoring portion 2 which is to be slidably fitted into and anchored to the fitting portion. A band-shaped profile 3 which is formed by subjecting a soft vinyl chloride resin composition to co-extrusion and is composed of a chlorinated vinyl chloride resin composition is spirally wound around either tip end of the coming-off preventing portion 11. In the wound state of the band-shaped profile 3, adjacent fitting portions and anchoring portions are fitted to each other into a cylindrical shape.
