<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing the healthiness of an existing tunnel, capable of diagnosing the healthiness of the existing tunnel easily and rapidly. <P>SOLUTION: This method for diagnosing the healthiness of the existing tunnel has a first step for measuring the depth of the crack formed to the cover concrete of the existing tunnel, a second step for measuring the dynamic characteristics of the cover concrete, a third step for measuring the winding thickness of the cover concrete, a fourth step for estimating the magnitute and distribution mode of the soil pressure acting on the existing tunnel on the basis of the depth of the crack, the dynamic characteristics of the cover concrete and the winding thickness, and a fifth process for calculating the cross-sectional force acting on the cover concrete on the basis of the magnitute and distribution mode of the soil pressure and comparing the cross-sectional force with the residual yield strength of the cover concrete to judge the healthiness of the existing tunnel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
