METHOD FOR RECLAIMING WASTE VINYL CHLORIDE RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering a vinyl chloride resin from a waste vinyl chloride resin composition by using simple equipment.

SOLUTION: The method comprises sequentially performing (a) the dissolution step of dissolving a waste vinyl chloride resin composition in a solvent which can dissolve the vinyl chloride resin in the composition to obtain a vinyl chloride resin solution; (b) the melting step of kneading the vinyl chloride resin solution while vaporizing the solvent therefrom under heating to obtain a vinyl chloride resin melt; (c) the strand formation step of extruding the vinyl chloride resin melt to obtain vinyl chloride resin strands; and (d) the pelletization step of cutting the vinyl chloride resin strands to obtain pellets of reclaimed vinyl resin.
