PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an irregular film, which makes it possible to form the irregular film under a low temperature at low costs without a complicated manufacturing process while giving the film superior weatherability, heat resistance, close-stickability to a metal film, and film strength. SOLUTION: According to the manufacturing method, a coating liquid contains a metal compound, a solvent A into which the metal compound dissolves, a solvent B not compatible with the solvent A, and a solvent C compatible with the solvents A, B. The coating liquid is applied to a basic substance to form a coated layer, from which the solvent C is eliminated by making it evaporate or volatilize to phase-separate the solvent A from the solvent B and turn the metal compound into a gel.
