PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grass collector preventing scatter of mowed grass from a space between a grass collector duct and a mowed grass container to the outside of a dumping area. SOLUTION: The grass collector comprises the grass collector duct 6, a container unit and a supporting mechanism 8 for changing the posture of the container unit to be grass collecting posture or grass discharging posture, wherein the container unit includes a grass container 5 having a housing space for the mowed grass, a lid-like body 7 for closing or opening a part of the mowed grass housing space and a backing plate 63 positioned at the front lower side of an inlet opening of the grass container 5, the supporting mechanism 8 makes, in the grass collecting posture, the inlet opening of the grass container 5 face to the end of the grass collector 6 and almost parallelly moves, in the grass discharging posture, the grass collector 5 to the rear upper side, opens the lid-like body 7 and inclines the bottom of the grass container 5 to support in a state releasing and dropping the grass and the backing plate 63 moves almost parallel to the grass container 5 and is changed to be an inclined posture accompanied with posture change to the grass discharging posture.
