USE OF GENE ASSOCIATED WITH DISEASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventing/treating agent of neurodegenerative diseases, i.e., a method for screening a compound adjusting the activity of a product which is a gene expression product of a gene of which expression is enhanced when an un-differentiated nerve cell differentiates to a cholinergic neuron at the onset of the neurodegenerative diseases, and a compound obtained by the screening. SOLUTION: The preventing/treating agents of neurodegenerative diseases are a compound or its salt, adjusting the activity of a protein having the same or substantially the same amino acid sequence with the amino acid sequence expressed by sequence number: 14 (in the specification), a compound adjusting the expression of the protein, the protein or its partial peptide, a DNA encoding the protein or its partial peptide, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
