<p>A method and a device for designing a knit capable of displaying an image having a feeling near the feeling of a knitting fabric actually knitted with shaggy knitting yarns, the method comprising the steps of dividing at least part of knitting fabric image data (1) on knitting yarns with much fluff (2) into meshes (3) and (4) in a fluff area and a mesh (5) in an intermediate yarn body area in increments of specified lengths in the longitudinal direction in which the knitting fabric image data (1) extends and on both sides in the lateral direction, and deforming the meshes (3), (4), and (5) correspondingly to a stitch loop (6) forming the knitting fabric to form deformed meshes (7) and (8) in the fluff area and a deformed mesh (9) in the yarn body area. In this deformation, the ratio of the deformed meshes (7) and (8) in the fluff areas to the meshes (3) and (4) in the fluff area is set smaller than the ratio of the deformed mesh (9) in the yarn body area to the mesh (5) in the yarn body area.</p> |
