The circular blade (1) is part of a cheese-, meat-, or salami-slicing machine to be used at the deli counter in a supermarket. It is fitted with a surrounding cutting edge (2) provided with grooves (4) on both sides leading in a slight curve from the outer edge (3) towards the center and forming additional cutting edges (5) between them. Grooves (4) and cutting edges (5) are positioned alternating between the upper and the lower surface.
