<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymeric electrolyte composite film with excellent accuracy of thickness. <P>SOLUTION: (1) The polymeric electrolyte composite film, made of a porous base member having vacant spaces in which is impregnated with a polymeric electrolyte, is manufactured by a method of painting a solution of polymeric electrolyte having a viscosity η(cps) of 30≤η≤5,000 as a painting solvent. (2) On (1), the porous base member is put on a supporting member, and the painting solution is applied on the porous base member. (3) On (2), the painting solution is applied on the supporting member. (4) On (2) or (3), The porous base members are laminated after applying the painting solution on the porous base member.
