<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical node apparatus most suitable for a metro system network in which the transmission route distance between respective optical node instruments is short. <P>SOLUTION: The optical node 11 of the invention is provided with an OADM (Optical Add/drop Multiplexer)12, a VOA (Variable Optical Attenuator) 15 which attenuates all strength level of a WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical signal in a rear stage of the instrument, a VOA controller 17 which controls the VOA 15, and a supervisory control part 18 which controls the VOA controller 17 using information from outside, and can perform an APR (Automatic Power Reduction) control of the optical network system, and output control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
