<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receptacle by which an optical element block is precisely positioned. <P>SOLUTION: The optical receptacle is provided with a housing, a transmission side optical element block and a receiving-side optical element block 10b both of which are housed in the housing. The receiving-side optical element block 10b is provided with a photodetective diode for converting an optical signal transmitted via an optical transmission medium provided with an optical plug to an electric signal, a microwave transmission circuit molding part 11b provided with a pillared optical element mounting table 12b having the photodetective diode mounted on the tip surface on its front surface, and a resin lens formed by a casting method on the tip surface of the optical element mounting so as to be positioned on an optical path between the optical element mounting table 12b and the optical transmission medium. In the vicinity of the root of the optical element mounting table 12b on the front surface of the microwave transmission circuit molding part 11b, recessed grooves 25a to 25d are formed for accumulating resin for forming the lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
