<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation plate integrated type polarizing film thinned while maintaining optical characteristic by integrating a retardation plate using an organic clay complex with a polarizer, and to make a liquid crystal display device thin and inexpensive by applying the polarizing film to the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The retardation plate integrated type polarizing film is constituted by providing a retardation plate having a layer composed of composition containing at least one kind of organic clay complex and at least one kind of (meth)acrylic resin which can be dispersed in an organic solvent at least by one at least on one side of a polarizer. The retardation plate of the retardation plate integrated type polarizing film is set so that its retardation value on a plane is <20nm and is smaller than a retardation value in a thickness direction. The retardation plate integrated type polarizing film is arranged at least on one side of a liquid crystal cell so as to constitute a liquid crystal display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
