PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent film with oxygen barrier performance and water-vapor barrier performance both higher than those hitherto known, and with high acid resistance. SOLUTION: This transparent barrier film with water-vapor permeability of≤0.1 g/m<SP>2</SP>/day and oxygen permeability of≤0.1 cc/m<SP>2</SP>/day/atm is obtained by forming at least one layer of an acid resistant inorganic substance on a resin base material, where the inorganic substance layer preferably comprises, as the main component, an oxide or a nitride or an oxynitride or a halide containing at least one element from among W, Ta, Nb, Ti, Ce, B, Ni, Cr, Zr, Mo, Se, Sr and Y.
