PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor having low noise which is used for refrigerating cycle of the refrigerator or the like and more effectively attenuates resonance sound in a pressure chamber and inlet pressure pulsation generated in an inlet valve at the place near the source of the outbreaks. SOLUTION: The resonance chamber 128 is separated from the inside of an airtight container 1 by a seal part 130 consisting of a flange part 118 provided on an intake muffler 110 and a groove part 129 provided on a cylinder head 123. An inlet pressure pulsation is less prone to leak into the airtight container 1 and the noise can be reduced thereby. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
